Sunday Mornings On Dundee Law @ The Byre
We had a marvellous run at The Byre earlier this month. Please see the 'Shows' page to see what the reviewer from The Courier had to say.
It's always a lovely experience to perform there, especially in such good company as the cast and crew of this show.
Keep checking back to see if there's further news on productions of this musical play to come or simply email me to find out details if you're extra specially keen!
Mother of All the Peoples Hits Holyrood!
In early March, some very lucky MSPs and invited guests had the opportunity to see a potted version of 'Mother of All the Peoples' in the Scottish Parliament.
The performance was part of the Mary Slessor Centenary Year Celebrations, marking 100 years since Mary last set foot on Scottish Soil.
A great time appeared to be had by all - and I guess the buffet was nice too, despite the 'electricity meter' running out in the middle.
A fascinating and enjoyable evening, hosted by Maureen Watt, and a tremendous experience to be part of the first theatrical production to be staged within it's walls.
Here's me swanning about in Holyrood! 'Me in Holyrood'
It's Behind You!
It sure seems like a long time ago, but the year started traditionally with a good knees up and then a January Pantomime. I played battleaxe Mrs Cuttlefish in a
production of 'The adventures of Robinson Crusue' with Tread The Boards. With Pirates, Cannibals, Grass Skirts and a Full Monty routine, it was an enjoyable time for all involved.

2007 going to be a busy year for Tricia
Tricia Stewart, known by close friends and complete strangers as being typically 'a bit busy', is set to be busy once again in 2007.
Yes folks, if you're looking for updates on shows I'm in, have been in, or will be in very shortly, you're certainly come to the right place.
Firstly, it's panto season! This year Tread The Boards continue on their wave of success with the terribly exotic, The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe. I'm playing a bit of a battle-axe Captain's Wife in it and it's really shaping up to be a great few hours of entertainment for those who make it along to the Gardyne Theatre from the 16th - 20th of January.
Mary's going to Holyrood!
Now I've some really rather exciting news for you! After the continued success of Mike Gibb and Mhairi Paton's Scottish musical play, Mother of All the Peoples, the inspiring story of Mary Slessor's life will be performed in front of an audience of MSPs and invited guests in the Scottish Parliament on March 7th 2007. This special performance of excerpts from the show follows sell out runs in the Dundee Rep, Byre Theatre and more. You can find our more about this show here or read the review for our last run here
Brand new musical premieres at Byre
Sunday Mornings on Dundee Law is a new musical play written by Mike Gibb and featuring music by Kevin Walsh. You can catch this great new piece of theatre between the 2nd and 5th of May 2007 at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, where we will be performing it for the very first time. A three track CD fetauring the title track and two other songs has just been released. Go to Mike Gibb's website to find out how to get hold of a copy or visit Dress Circle where the CD can be found in the New Releases section. It's currently on the front page so you can't really miss it.
Arriving in the Dundee Rep with Five Pound
Five Pound & Twa Bairns was first performed to a packed out Dundee theatre in late 2005. Such was the success of the production, we were asked to perform this again in the Byre Theatre, and then 'up north' in the Aberdeen Arts Centre. The highly acclaimed show now makes its way to the Dundee Rep theatre and my advice is to get your tickets early if you want to make sure you don't miss out.
The show runs from the 14th to the 16th of June 2007. Book early to avoid dissappointment.
There is an original cast recording available of this show which can be purchased here, or picked up off the shelf in London's top shop for everything musical theatre, Dress Circle.
Finally - an update to my CV...
I was very much aware that I hadn't updated the shows area of my site since May 2005! As you'll imagine I've managed to fit in rather a lot of full productions since then, not to mention all the concerts, appearances and solo sets at events that don't even make it to that list. Please take a look so I know it was worth the bother! As you can see, the list of shows has grown to over 50. Not bad for someone who only caught the performing bug ten years ago.
And speaking of events... I'm still available for singing at events, functions etc and have a good catalogue of my own backings to suit most events. Acting and entertaining opportunities also very much welcomed. Please email events@triciastewart.co.uk with any enquiries.

You can find all you need to know about booking tickets for any of my future theatre engagements at my Theatre in Dundee page.

Site Update: Sadly, as you might well have noticed, I've rather neglected updates to this site. I haven't, however, become any less interested in theatre in all it's wonderful shapes and forms!
First things first - what's next? Well to start with, there are two great productions in September you should be looking out for. Get your tickets sharp though - they do go very very fast. Tread the Board's 'Me & My Girl' is first up and you can find information about the show on the TTB website. For those who know the show, I'm the Duchess.
In complete comparison, I'll be appearing as Mary Boyd in Mike Gibb & John Nimmo's brand new musical play, 'Five Pound and Twa Bairns' (music written by Mairi Paton) when it premieres in the Gardyne Theatre at the very end of September. Roughly speaking, it's the tale of three fictional women, with absolutely nothing in common... until the night the Tay Bridge collapsed. I'm very very excited about this show and hope you manage to come and see it. Tickets are now available from the box office and don't hang back or you'll miss out!
I have also now updated the shows list which will let you know what you missed over the last year and, of course, what I was up to in 1997 if you really want to know. Some ammendments to the Resources page were also badly needed . Please do feel free to get in touch if you want to chat, want to ask a question you think I'll be able to answer or have got any parts needing filled in a nice fancy west end show... :-p

Site Update: Check out the brand new Theatre in Dundee page for a comprehensive list of Dundee theatre venues. It'll tell you where you can find each theatre, and as a helpful guide there are links to streetmaps for each. You should also find some links to a few theatre related websites which might be of interest, but if there's anything I've missed - please let me know.

Wheeeeeee, I'm just back from a fabulous holiday on the QE2 (don't want to brag, but really... It was fantastic. If you have reached this site because I met you onboard, then I'd just like to say a very happy hello to you (and thanks to pianist Richie Swan for letting me sing so often and being an extraordinary cool bloke).
Anyway, I thought it was about time I upoaded the last update to the site and updated you some more...
The Spirit of Youth was a great success from both audience and cast points of view. This was a stunning revue of some of the best west end show selections, mixed with a little rock, pop and a big band section. If you missed it - too bad! You missed a good 'un.
Beyond a Joke has now passed too. This was a farce (by Derek Benfield) with dead bodies floating about and plenty of wheelbarrow action. A very enjoyable show by Dundee Dramatic Society. If you know the show, I played Sally (the daughter).
Les Miserables tickets are going very well indeed. You'll still be able to get tickets for the beginning of the week at this stage (tickets towards the end of the week are getting scarce if not gone completely) so If you want to see it at all, I'd advise getting in touch with the Box Office now. Details of the number and where to find it are helpfully on the Whitehall Theatre website. Essential info: Gardyne Theatre, Broughty Ferry - September 13th-18th
Mother of All The Peoples is heading into the Byre Theatre in St Andrews in November. The production has been recast this year and I'm delighted to say I'll be playing the younger of the two Marys so even if you did go to see the show previously, you'll have to come and see it again. Please find information about it (and get your tickets) here. If you don't, you'll only wish you had later on. But if you do happen to miss it, you will have an extra chance to see it when we return to the Gardyne Theatre again in March. When I can remember the dates I'll let you know.

How time flies when you are having fun...
What's been going on in my life? Well, quite a lot really. Are you sitting comfortably? I'll give a quick rundown of some shows I've been recently been involved with:
The Campbells are Comin' - I played wee Nellie Campbell in this Scots Comedy with Dundee Dramatic in December. That meant playing the 'village bicycle' two shows running!
Beauty and the Beast - Tread the Boards put on John Morley's pantomine in January and I played one of her 'orrible money grabbing sisters.
Mother of All the Peoples - Brilliant show! We put on this show in March and I urge you to check out Mike Gibb's page at www.hamepages.com to find out more about it. It's an inspirational piece and something I'm very proud to be a part of.
Next on the agenda - You'll be sure to catch me if you go to the Gardyne Theatre on the 7th and 8th of May when I am performing in the Spirit of Youth with Tread the Boards. Later that month, I'm in a comedy Beyond A Joke at the Little Theatre with Dundee Dramatic Society.
September brings a production of the School's Edition of Les Miserables and then there's more news about Mother of All the Peoples coming up. If you are interested in dates and tickets for any of these productions please email me. I'll put dates of these up on the site when I have a moment - but I will warn you that the last night of Les Mis is already sold out so if you are interested in any of these, don't leave it too long!

I deserve a slapped wrist. I have shamefully not updated this website for quite a while. However, the reason for this is that I have been very busy - so lots to tell you about...
Oklahoma! - Tread The Boards YMT enjoyed a wonderful week with this well recieved musical production. Read a review of the show here!
Something to Hide - I manhandled the props on this successful thriller by Dundee Dramatic Society that ran this week.
Mother of All the Peoples - Auditions were held at the end of August for this musical play which will be performed in Dundee in March, following great successes in Aberdeen. More details of this show to come.
New job! - I've gone and got myself another job. I started working at MediaCo two weeks ago and before you ask, yes, I'm knackered. I'm still open to offers of professional performing work - so keep those emails coming in!
Holidays - I finally got away on a lovely break. I had the most lovely cruise on the Adonia in August, sailing the Med. I met some terrific people while I was there, and the staff, performers and bands will stick in my memory for a long long time. In fact, I'm rather interested in this kind of work myself.
Singing lots - Been singing here, there and everwhere. We also sang on the mainstage at the Dundee Food and Flower Festival this year again.

Took part in the Eagle Coaching Inn's very own Stars In Your Eyes karaoke competition on Wednesday. Yours truly was picked as the winner after a rendition of Cher's 'If I Could Turn Back Time' in a nice big curly wig. Have a laugh at my costume - click here!

Come and see "Oklahoma!" at the Gardyne Theatre, Broughty Ferry, Dundee (16th -20th September). I'll be playing that girl who 'cain't say no', Ado Annie!
This will be the third production by the highly acclaimed Tread The Boards YMT. One not to be missed!
31/03/03
Give me a job! As of today I'm jobless and looking for work. If you can give me a job on the stage all the better, but I'll settle for something nice that brings the money in while you're finding me the former. Thank you very much.

The cast has been announced for Dundee Dramatic Society's production of 'Saving Ardley' in which I am to play the part of Lady Selina, the daughter of The Earl and Lady Ardley and a champion of lost causes!
Tickets for this play, which runs from 17th - 24th May at The Little Theatre, Dundee, will be on sale at the City Centre Box Office from 30th April.
