BEYOND A JOKE
Review
ALTHOUGH THE play which opened at the Little Theatre on Saturday is titled Beyond A Joke, there appears to be a darker side to this entertainment.
Andrew and Jane, played by Keith Spottiswoode and Elma Longair, seem to lose any workmen who come into their home. Although their regard the situation as bad luck, things come to a head when their daughter Sally, a vivacious Tricia Stewart, invites her boy friend Geoff, played by Gavin Matthews, for the weekend.
Geoff is shocked by a conversation he overhears and this sets him on a quest to investigate a number of deaths which have taken place in the house over the past few years.
This unusual comedy, directed by Harry Devine, runs until Saturday.
